Ranking System

Jiu-Jitsu is not only a martial art but also a competition sport. Like in any organization where athletes are registered, a ranking is often established to publish the athletes' performance.

Therefore, the SJJA will have its own ranking for all athletes living in Switzerland.

Basics

1. You need to make it to the podium to be awarded points.

2. Your weight division points will be multiplied by the weight of the championship.

3. Your number of fights won will then be added to your total points (weight division

    and open class).

How it works

Weight division

1st place :  9 points

2nd place : 3 points

3rd place :  1 point

Example :

  • 1st place in Weight division in SJJA Lausanne Championship with 3 fights won

      > (9 points x championship weight of x1) + 3

      = 12 points

  • 2nd place in Weight division in IBJJF European Championship with 4 fights won

      > (3 points x championship weight of x4) + 4

      = 16 points

  • 3rd place in Weight division in SJJA Swiss Championship with 5 fights and won  1st place in Open class with 4 fights won

      > (1 point x tournament weight of x2) + 5

      > (10 points x tournament weight of x2) + 4

      = 31 points
